Reels & Deals - 10/14/2010

Is it just me or is this hilarious?

It's hard to imagine Michael J. Fox not as the lead character in one of my all time favorites 'Back to the Future,' but apparently the filmmakers started out with that.  Eric Stoltz played Marty McFly for 5 weeks before the filmmakers decided he wasn't right and gave him the boot for Michael J.  On the forthcoming blu-ray release they actually have footage of Stoltz as McFly.

New Spider-Man Villain Cast

Rhys Ifans is cast as the newest Spider-Man villain in the forthcoming series reboot.  Not sure what villain he'll play or how he'll work out.  Guess we'll see (sidenote: is that the kicker from 'The Replacements?').

Finally, an Edgar Allen Poe movie - 'The Raven'

News here isn't the movie itself but who is joining the cast, with John Cusack.  This is the first I have heard of it and I am excited.

The Next 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?'

This actually seems kind of cool.  A movie about a murder in which puppets are living creatures and interact with humans.
