To Queue or not to Queue - The Damned United

The Damned United (2009)

Editors Note:  Please not that although I am a user and supporter of Netflix I am not in any way employed by Netflix or contractually obligated in any way to endorse or advertise on behalf of Netflix.

This post is the continuation of my series about movies Netflix users can check out that can be streamed instantly from the site.  I will focus on two types of movies: movies that are more mainstream but probably don't get the credit or notoriety they deserve, and movies that aren't very mainstream and are somewhat unique that your average Netflix subscriber wouldn't come across.

This is another one that falls into the latter category.  "The Damned United" is about a soccer coach who coached in the English Premier League (EPL, to all you soccer fans out there) and rose to stardom in the 70's and 80's.  The movie consists of his tenure as the coach of Leeds United, which lasted only 44 days.  I am not ruining anything by telling you that because the movie concerns itself with his development of a coach and the events that led to his shortened tenure (you can see my official review of the movie here).

A very well made, well acted little film that's definitely worth your time, especially if you're a soccer fan.  Enjoy.
